Quick and easy loaf baked to perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup poppy seed
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • Powdered sugar, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease the bottom of a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except powdered sugar and mix for 30 seconds using a spoon. Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool for 10 minutes, then gently remove the loaf from the pan onto a wire rack. Let cool completely for about 2 hours. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
