Delicious family favorite: Sweet and savory pineapple-topped treat on a toasted bun.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds ground pork
  • 1 Granny Smith apple - peeled, cored and chopped
  • 1 sweet onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 8 hamburger buns
  • 1 (20 ounce) can sliced pineapple, drained
Instructions:
  • Heat up the grill until it reaches a satisfying medium-high temperature.
  • Combine ground pork, apple, onion, garlic, teriyaki sauce, and egg in a large bowl. If needed, moisten with juice from the can of pineapple slices. Shape mixture into eight patties.
  • Prepare the grill by lightly oiling the grate. Grill the pork burgers for about 10 minutes until they are well done. Toast the buns on the grill and then serve the burgers on the toasted buns with pineapple slices on top.
