Slow-baked pork chops with creamy rice sauce - grandma's comfort food!
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup uncooked instant rice
  • 0.5 cup butter
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, heat vegetable oil and brown pork chops for 5 to 8 minutes on each side. Transfer the chops to a 9x13-inch baking dish. In a large saucepan, whisk together cream of chicken soup, cream of celery soup, and milk until smooth. Add rice and butter, bring to a boil, and stir until the butter melts. Pour the rice mixture over the chops in the baking dish, then cover with foil.
  • Roast in the oven until perfectly tender, approximately 2 hours.
