Succulent pork chops smothered in a savory onion and mushroom gravy, perfect with rice or potatoes.
Ingredients:
  • 4 boneless pork chops, 1-inch thick
  • 0.5 teaspoon seasoning salt, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup sliced button mushrooms
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 0.25 cup flour, or more as needed
Instructions:
  • Remove excess fat from pork chops and generously season with seasoning salt.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, sizzle up those juicy pork chops until they're beautifully browned on each side. Then, plate them up to savor the goodness!
  • Pour savory chicken broth into the skillet and bring to a lively boil, using a wooden spoon to release all the delicious flavors stuck to the bottom. Add in earthy mushrooms, aromatic onion, and rich butter; let it gently simmer for 5 minutes. Take 2 tablespoons of the flavorful sauce and carefully transfer it to a small bowl.
  • Combine the flour with the sauce in the bowl, using a fork to ensure a smooth mixture. Transfer the mixture back into the skillet and stir until well combined.
  • Place the pork chops back in the skillet, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes. Uncover and cook until the gravy thickens and the pork chops are cooked through to 145°F (63°C). For a thicker gravy, add more flour as needed.
