Sautéed pork chops with mushrooms, onions, and a flavorful wine sauce enhanced with brandy and balsamic vinegar.
Ingredients:
  • 6 (5 ounce) boneless pork chops, 1/2-inch thick
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
  • 0.25 cup chopped onion
  • 0.25 cup red wine
  • 0.25 cup white wine
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 fluid ounces brandy
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • aluminum foil
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Coat pork chops in egg, then bread crumbs.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil. Sear pork chops until golden brown on each side, approximately 3 minutes per side. Place the pork chops in an oven-safe dish, keeping the flavorful pan drippings in the skillet.
  • Combine mushrooms, onion, red wine, white wine, butter, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, brandy, sugar, and garlic with the pan drippings. Simmer over medium heat until mushrooms are softened, approximately 10 minutes. Pour the mixture over the pork chops and cover the baking dish with foil.
  • Bake until pork chops are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F (63 degrees C, about 40 minutes.
