Indulge in a unique twist on pizza with decadent poutine toppings - crispy fries, rich gravy, and melty cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 (14 ounce) package frozen French fries (such as McCain®)
  • 10 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag shredded Mexican cheese blend (such as Kraft®)
  • 0.5 cup pizza sauce, or as needed
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can beef gravy, or as needed
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, add flour. In a separate cup, whisk together water, egg, yeast, and sugar. Create a well in the flour and pour in the yeast mixture. Stir until a smooth dough forms, adding more flour or water if necessary. Cover the bowl with a towel and let the dough rise until doubled in size, approximately 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C), then evenly arrange the French fries on a baking sheet.
  • Bake fries in the preheated oven until golden, approximately 20 minutes, then lower the oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon pieces until crispy, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.
  • Coat a round pizza pan with baking spray.
  • Gently deflate dough, then spread it out on a pizza pan. To make a stuffed crust, sprinkle 1/4 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend along the edge of the dough, roll the dough over the cheese, and seal by pinching the dough.
  • Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the dough, then generously layer fries on top. Pour gravy over the fries as needed to cover them completely. Sprinkle the remaining Mexican cheese blend over the pizza, and then evenly distribute the bacon pieces.
  • Bake in the hot oven until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden, approximately 20 minutes.
