Make fun present-shaped cookies with colorful frosting using a square cutter.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch Betty Crocker™ peanut butter cookie mix
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting
  • Assorted gel food colors
  • Assorted sprinkles, decorating sugars, edible glitter, as desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Combine the cookie mix, flour, egg, water, and oil in a large bowl until fully mixed. Roll the dough to 1/4 inch thickness on a floured work surface. Use a 2-inch square cookie cutter to make 28 cookies, re-rolling the dough as needed.
  • Arrange the cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet, making sure to leave 2 inches of space between each cookie. Bake in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are set and a light golden brown color. Let the cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool completely, which will take about 15 minutes.
  • Transfer 1/3 cup of frosting into a plastic bag and cut off one corner. Divide the rest of the frosting into separate bowls and color each with different food colors. Frost the cookies with the colored frostings, then decorate them as desired. Use the frosting in the bag to pipe ribbons and bows on top of the cookies to create a present-like appearance.
