Transform Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix into adorable holiday "present" cookies by topping them with chewy fruit snack ribbons. Perfect for Christmas celebrations!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • Flour, butter and egg called for on cookie mix pouch for cutout cookies
  • 1 cup from 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
  • 1/2 teaspoon yellow paste food color
  • 1/4 teaspoon green paste food color
  • 4 rolls Betty Crocker™ Fruit by the Foot™ strawberry chewy fruit snack (from 4.5-oz box)
  • 2 tablespoons white nonpareils
Instructions:
  • Combine cookie mix, flour, butter, and egg in a large bowl until a dough forms. Shape dough into a ball, flatten slightly, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness and use a 3-inch present-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes. Place the cutouts on ungreased cookie sheets, bake for 9 to 11 minutes until lightly browned. Let them cool for 2 minutes, then transfer to cooling racks. Cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  • Combine frosting and food colors in a small bowl until fully mixed. Use the mixture to frost the cookies. Create ribbon and bow designs with cut and shaped fruit snacks to decorate the cookies. Finish by sprinkling nonpareils on top. Allow the cookies to sit until the frosting sets.
