Create indulgent sweet-and-salty dessert bars by stacking brownies and pretzels.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Fudge Brownie Mix
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 squares (1 oz each) unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 cup crushed pretzels
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (or 325°F for dark or nonstick pans). Combine crust ingredients in a medium bowl. Press the mixture into an ungreased 13x9-inch pan. Bake for 8 minutes, then allow it to cool for 10 minutes before moving on.
  • Mix brownie ingredients in a medium bowl until smooth. Gently spread the batter over the cooled crust. Bake for 24 to 26 minutes or until a toothpick inserted 2 inches from the side of the pan comes out almost clean. Let it cool on a rack for about 1 hour.
  • In a medium bowl, cream together powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons melted butter, chocolate, and vanilla using an electric mixer on low speed. Gradually add 1 tablespoon of milk until combined. Mix in additional milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the frosting reaches your preferred spreading consistency. Frost the cooled brownies and top with crushed pretzels. Cut into 8 rows by 4 rows.
