Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 0.5 cup margarine
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.75 cup solid pack pumpkin puree
  • 0.75 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.75 cup chopped walnuts
  • 0.5 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Combine flour, baking soda, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, ginger, and cloves in a large bowl.
  • Combine the sugar and butter in a bowl until creamy. Mix in the eggs and beat until smooth.
  • Layer the creamy mixture and pumpkin into the dry ingredients, then gently mix in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts. Divide the batter evenly between two greased 9x5 inch loaf pans.
  • Cook in a 350°F (175°C) preheated oven for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
  • Prepare the glaze by combining confectioners sugar, 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg in a small bowl. Stir in milk until smooth, then drizzle over the warm cake.
