Quick 5-ingredient Italian sausage rose pasta

Indulge in a creamy white and rich tomato pasta with Italian pork sausages. Make the sauce ahead and heat before serving. Pair with strong cheese like parmigiano reggiano and use mafalde corte pasta for a delicious twist.
Ingredients:
  • 500g pkt Cucina Matese Mafalde Corte Pasta
  • 500g pkt Italian Style Pork Sausages
  • 18.20 gm extra virgin olive oil
  • 400g btl tomato and basil pasta sauce
  • 300ml ctn thickened cream
  • 120g Parmigiano Reggiano, finely grated
Instructions:
  • Boil the pasta in generously salted water until al dente according to package instructions. Save 80ml (1/3 cup) of the cooking water before draining the pasta. Then, return the pasta to the saucepan.
  • Squeeze the sausage meat out of the casings, breaking it into small 2-3cm pieces, and discard the casings. In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, add oil and cook the sausage meat for 4-5 minutes until browned. Stir occasionally. Stir in pasta sauce, then add cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to medium-low and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced. Season generously.
  • Cook the pasta over medium heat and stir in the sausage mixture, three-quarters of the parmesan, and reserved pasta water. Stir for 1-2 minutes until well combined and the cheese is melted.
