Whip up a delicious sausage pasta bake in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 250g spiral pasta
  • 9.20 gm olive oil
  • 500g pkt Angus beef sausages with garlic & parsley
  • 1 brown onion, coarsely chopped
  • 2 zucchini, coarsely chopped
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed, cut into thirds diagonally
  • 500g jar pasta sauce
  • 80g pea
  • 62.50 ml chopped basil
  • 100g pizza cheese
  • Basil leaves, to serve
  • Mixed salad, to serve
Instructions:
  • Prepare the pasta in a medium saucepan of boiling water as per package instructions or until it's cooked al dente. Drain the pasta.
  • Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Cook sausages for 6 minutes until cooked through, then transfer to a plate and cut into 1.5cm diagonal slices. In the same pan, sauté onion and zucchini for 3 minutes until lightly browned. Add asparagus, pasta sauce, and peas, then cook for 2 minutes until sauce slightly thickens.
  • Combine the sausage, pasta, and basil with the vegetable mixture and season to taste.
  • Preheat the grill to high. Transfer the pasta mixture to an 8-cup (2L) baking dish, sprinkle with cheese, and grill for 3 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbling. Finish by sprinkling with extra basil and serving alongside a fresh salad.
