Quick chicken sausage rolls

Elevate your gatherings with gourmet chicken sausage rolls.
Ingredients:
  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, just thawed
  • 4 chicken sausages
  • 24 baby spinach leaves (optional)
  • 1 lightly beaten egg
  • chutney or barbecue sauce, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 190°C and line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper. Divide the puff pastry in half on a flat work surface. Remove the end of the sausages and extrude the sausage meat in a straight line down the middle of each pastry strip along the longest side. Optionally add a couple of baby spinach leaves. Roll the pastry into long tubes, trim the edges, and cut each tube into three pieces. Place the sausage rolls on the prepared tray, brush lightly with egg, and bake for 15 minutes or until golden and cooked through. Let them stand for 5 minutes after removing from the oven before serving with chutney or barbecue sauce.
