Elevate family dinner with a gourmet cheesy onion gratinee using Progresso® French onion soup for a taste of France at home.
Ingredients:
  • 1 can (18.5 oz) Progresso™ French onion soup
  • 1/2 cup shredded Swiss or Gruyère cheese (2 oz)
  • 2 slices (1/2-inch-thick) French bread, toasted
Instructions:
  • In a small saucepan, warm the soup over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until hot.
  • In a small bowl, blend the cheeses together until fully combined.
  • Preheat your oven on broil. Place 2 ovenproof bowls on a cookie sheet for easy handling. Ladle the soup into the bowls. Top each bowl with a slice of toasted bread and sprinkle approximately 1/4 cup of cheese mixture on top of each.
  • Place under the broiler until cheese is bubbly, about 1 to 3 minutes, positioning the dish 3 to 5 inches from the heat source.
