Easy apple strudel made with puff pastry for a delicious twist on a classic dessert. Perfect served warm with a scoop of ice cream.
Ingredients:
  • 4 medium apples - peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup raisins
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 (17.5 ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) to create a perfect cooking environment.
  • In a large bowl, mix together apples, 3/4 cup sugar, raisins, walnuts, and cinnamon for the filling.
  • Sprinkle flour on a clean surface and dust puff pastry lightly with flour. Roll out slightly and divide into 3 equal sections. Spoon filling onto the center section, fold the left side over, and brush with egg wash. Fold the right side on top, like a letter. Make shallow diagonal cuts on top, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of sugar.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the apple strudel is golden and puffed up, for about 25-30 minutes.
