Make delicious strawberry danishes for lunch boxes in a snap.
Ingredients:
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, partially thawed
  • 52.80 gm strawberry jam
  • 5 small strawberries, hulled, thinly sliced lengthways
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200C/180C fan-forced. Line a large baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Cut the pastry into 16 squares, then add 1/2 teaspoon of strawberry jam in the center of each square. Arrange 2 to 3 strawberry slices diagonally on the jam. Fold two opposite corners into the center and press to seal. Transfer to a baking tray lined with parchment paper and brush lightly with egg wash.
  • Bake until pastry is golden and puffed, about 10 minutes. Cool on tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
