Indulge in a melty Reuben sandwich with corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Thousand Island dressing on grilled rye bread.
Ingredients:
  • 8 slices rye bread
  • 0.5 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 8 slices deli sliced corned beef
  • 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
Instructions:
  • Collect all the ingredients needed and heat a large griddle or skillet over medium heat.
  • Evenly coat one side of bread slices with Thousand Island dressing.
  • Layer Swiss cheese, corned beef, sauerkraut, and another slice of Swiss cheese on four slices of bread. Then, place the remaining bread slices on top, with the dressing side facing down. Finally, spread butter on the top of each sandwich.
  • Lay the sandwiches on the hot griddle with the buttered side facing down. Spread the remaining butter on the top of each sandwich. Grill until both sides are golden brown, approximately 5 minutes per side.
  • Serve the dish while it is still hot to fully savor and enjoy its flavors!
