Elevate frozen Brussels sprouts by roasting with apple, sweet onion, and lemon for a burst of flavor. No need to thaw; simply spread on a baking sheet, season, and roast.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen Brussels sprouts
  • 2 apples - peeled, cored, and cut into 3/4-inch chunks
  • 2 sweet onions, cut into 3/4-inch chunks
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, or as needed
  • 1 pinch garlic powder to taste
  • zest from 1 lemon
  • juice from 1 lemon
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) for a perfect bake.
  • Spread frozen Brussels sprouts on a rimmed baking sheet, surround with apple and onion pieces. Drizzle olive oil over everything, then season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Gently toss to coat evenly.
  • Roast the sprouts in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes until they are hot and fragrant. Finish by sprinkling with lemon zest and squeezing the zested lemon juice over the sprouts before serving.
