Roasted Brussels Sprouts with chicken broth, thyme, and shallots - a flavorful side dish for any meal.
Ingredients:
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, quartered
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons minced shallots
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 0.75 cup Swanson® Unsalted Chicken Broth
  • 0.25 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F and lightly grease a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Drain on paper towels and crumble.
  • Coat Brussels sprouts in a flavorful mix of olive oil, garlic, shallots, thyme, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and crispy bacon before spreading them onto a lined baking sheet.
  • Gently drizzle Swanson® Unsalted Chicken Broth onto the Brussels sprouts.
  • Roast in a hot oven for 10 minutes, then stir sprouts and roast for another 10 minutes until crisp-tender.
  • Sprinkle generously with grated Parmesan cheese.
