Indulge in this irresistible honey dessert - a sweet delight worth savoring solo!
Ingredients:
  • 268.13 gm honey
  • 32.00 gm brown sugar
  • 4 packham or beurre bosc pears, halved, cored
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 thick strips orange rind
  • Double cream, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. In a roasting pan, mix honey, sugar, and 1 cup of cold water. Place pears skin-side up in the pan, sprinkle with cinnamon, and add orange rind. Cover the pan tightly with foil.
  • After 30 minutes of roasting, uncover and turn the pears. Continue roasting for 40 to 50 minutes until the pears are caramelized and tender, while basting with syrup halfway through. Serve with a dollop of cream.
