Indulge in a mouthwatering roasted herb-scented turkey breast, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 pound) whole bone-in turkey breast with skin
  • 1.5 cups chicken stock
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
  • 1 teaspoon dried savory
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Gently separate the skin from the turkey breast meat.
  • In a large oven-safe pot or Dutch oven, nestle the turkey breast and pour chicken stock over it. Combine melted butter, chicken bouillon granules, sage, savory, rosemary, and thyme in a bowl. Gently slide more than half of the butter-herb mixture under the turkey skin, then spread the remaining mixture over the skin. Cover the pot.
  • Roast the turkey in the preheated oven for a total of 5 hours, flipping it over after 3 hours, and then again until the juices run clear and a meat thermometer reads 180 degrees F (80 degrees C) when inserted into the thickest part of the breast. Baste with pan drippings and rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
