Satisfying beef steak with quick homemade gravy ready in just 30 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, cut in half, then sliced
  • 1 jar (4.5 oz) sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 jar (12 oz) beef gravy
Instructions:
  • Combine beef, egg, 1/4 cup of Bisquick mix, and pepper in a large bowl. Shape mixture into 6 oval patties, approximately 1/2 inch thick, using wet hands. Lightly coat patties with the remaining 1/4 cup of Bisquick mix.
  • Heat a drizzle of oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Place the patties in a single layer in the skillet and scatter onion slices around and on top of the patties. Cook for 12 to 16 minutes, flipping the patties once and stirring the onions occasionally, until a meat thermometer inserted into the center of the patties reads 160°F.
  • If needed, skim excess fat from the skillet and discard. Add mushrooms and gravy to the skillet, coating the patties with the gravy. Bring to a boil.
