Make gourmet burgers in just 5 minutes. Ready, set, cook!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/3 cup Progresso™ dry bread crumbs (any flavor)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 large onion, sliced and separated into rings
  • 1 can (10 1/2 ounces) condensed beef broth
  • 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced (3 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
Instructions:
  • Combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, and egg until well mixed. Form the mixture into 4 oval patties, each approximately 3/4 inch thick.
  • Cook the patties in a 10-inch skillet over medium heat for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally until they are browned. Drain the excess liquid. Add onion, broth, and mushrooms to the skillet. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for another 10 minutes or until the beef is cooked through.
  • Take out the patties and set them aside to keep them warm. Bring the onion mixture to a boil. Combine water and cornstarch, then stir it into the onion mixture. Let it boil and stir for 1 minute. Serve the sauce over the patties.
