Salsa Topped Grilled Taco Burgers

Delicious taco-flavored burgers ready in just 30 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1 packet (1 oz) Old El Paso™ Original Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 4 slices (1 oz each) Monterey Jack cheese
  • 4 burger buns, split
  • 1 avocado, pitted, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup thick & chunky salsa
  • 1 jalapeño chile, chopped, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat your gas or charcoal grill. Combine beef and taco seasoning mix in a medium bowl. Form the mixture into 4 patties, each about 3/4 inch thick.
  • Grill the patties over medium heat, covering the grill, for 13 to 15 minutes, flipping once, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F. Place a slice of cheese on each patty and grill for an additional 1 to 2 minutes until the cheese melts. Serve in buns with avocado, salsa, and chopped chile.
