Elevate basic pork into a flavorful and delicious dish with simple yet clever adjustments.
Ingredients:
  • 9.60 gm sea salt flakes
  • 1 tsp ground white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried chilli flakes
  • 1/2 tsp Chinese five spice powder
  • 20.00 gm cornflour
  • 750g pork fillet
  • olive oil cooking spray
  • 9.20 gm vegetable oil
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 large carrot, halved, thinly sliced
  • 2 celery sticks, thinly sliced diagonally
  • 200g broccoli, cut into florets
  • 48.80 gm oyster sauce
  • steamed rice, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 200°C. In a bowl, mix salt, pepper, chili, five spice, and cornflour. Spread mixture on a flat surface and coat pork by rolling it in the seasoned mixture.
  • Prepare a large non-stick frying pan with cooking spray and heat over medium-high heat. Sear the pork on all sides for 4 minutes until golden. Transfer the pork to a greased baking tray and bake for 10 to 15 minutes until fully cooked.
  • Return the pan to high heat and add oil, swirling to coat. Cook onions until soft, about 30 seconds. Add carrot and celery, cook for 2 minutes, then add broccoli and cook for 3 to 5 minutes until tender. Mix in oyster sauce and toss to combine. Slice the pork, serve with vegetables and rice.
