Quick and delightful holiday treat - salted chocolate bars with a buttery cracker base, topped with chocolate chips and customized with your favorite toppings. Ready in just 20 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 35 saltine crackers
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 bag (11.5 oz) milk chocolate chips (2 cups)
  • Assorted toppings, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Cover a baking sheet with foil and arrange crackers in a single layer on top.
  • In a 1-quart saucepan, melt butter and sugar over medium heat, stirring frequently until smooth. Spread the mixture evenly over the crackers to cover them entirely.
  • Bake for 3 to 5 minutes until bubbly and golden. Remove from oven and quickly sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over crackers.
  • Place back in the oven for an additional 1 to 2 minutes. Evenly spread chocolate over the crackers, sprinkle with your favorite toppings, and refrigerate until fully set. Break into pieces and serve, storing any leftovers in the refrigerator.
