Ingredients:
  • 375.00 ml plain flour
  • 60.00 gm fine table salt
  • 18.40 gm vegetable oil
  • 165.00 gm chilled water
Instructions:
  • 1. Preheat the oven to 120°C and prepare 2 baking trays with baking paper. 2. Combine flour and salt in a bowl, then create a well in the center. 3. Pour the oil into the well, then gradually add water while stirring with a wooden spoon until well combined. 4. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until it forms a smooth ball.
  • Roll out the dough to a 7mm thickness between two sheets of baking paper. Use Christmas-shaped cutters to create decorations and make a hole at the top of each with a chopstick or skewer. Place the decorations on trays, roll out any remaining dough, and repeat the process.
  • Bake decorations for 2 1/2 hours until firm and dry, then cool completely on a wire rack.
  • First, lovingly coat the front and sides with paint, giving them time to dry. Once the first coat is dry, apply a second layer of paint. While the top coat is still fresh, sprinkle it with enchanting glitter. Let it dry completely. Next, give the decorations' backsides 2 coats of paint. Then, gracefully weave ribbon through the holes and proudly display them on the Christmas tree.
