Simple 3-ingredient salt dough recipe - ideal for fun and festive homemade Christmas ornaments with children.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup salt
  • 1 cup cold water
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C) and prepare a lined baking sheet.
  • In a bowl, mix flour and salt together. Gradually add water, a few tablespoons at a time, stirring thoroughly with each addition. Knead the dough for 10 minutes, then cover it and allow it to rest for 20 minutes.
  • Place the dough on a floured surface and knead until soft and pliable. Roll it out to 1/8 inch thickness, cut out festive shapes with cookie cutters, then transfer them to a baking sheet. Use a toothpick to make a hole in each ornament for hanging.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 2 hours until perfectly dry and firm. Cool completely before adding decorations.
