Irresistible apple cake made easy with cinnamon streusel mix, drizzled in caramel and topped with pecans!
Ingredients:
  • 2 boxes (13.9 oz) Betty Crocker™ Cinnamon Streusel Muffin & Quick Bread Mix
  • 1 1/3 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups chopped peeled baking apples (3 medium)
  • 1 cup thick caramel topping
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 10-inch angel food (tube) cake pan with shortening and lightly flour it.
  • Combine muffin mix, streusel, milk, oil, and eggs in a large bowl until just blended (batter will be lumpy). Pour half of the batter into the pan, top with half of the apples, then repeat with the remaining batter and apples.
  • Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool in the pan on a rack for 15 minutes, then transfer to a serving plate.
  • Drizzle cake with luscious caramel topping, add a generous sprinkle of crunchy pecans and a pinch of salt. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
