Quick and easy work lunch: flavorful chow mein in 5 minutes using a sandwich press. Iconic Asian sauces, aromatic garlic, and Singapore egg noodles create a delicious meal with minimal cleanup. Transport sauce mix in a container for convenience.
Ingredients:
  • 10.60 gm soy sauce
  • 2 tsp kecap manis
  • 12.20 gm oyster sauce
  • 1/2 garlic clove, crushed
  • 150g fresh Singapore egg noodles, strands separated
  • 100g family stir-fry mix
  • 30g (1/3 cup) shredded cooked chicken
  • Sliced green shallot, to serve
Instructions:
  • Mix together the sauces, garlic, and 1 tbsp of water in a small bowl.
  • Heat up your sandwich press.
  • Layer noodles and stir-fry mix on sandwich press, then generously drizzle with 1/4 cup water. Close the lid and cook for 2-3 minutes, giving it a toss every so often, until the veggies begin to brown. Next, introduce the chicken and pour on the sauce mixture. Cook for an additional 1 minute, tossing until everything is heated through.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped shallot before serving.
