Satay chicken sausage rolls recipe

Elevate your party with delicious Satay Chicken Sausage Rolls.
Ingredients:
  • 1 brown onion, coarsely grated
  • 500g chicken mince
  • 260.00 gm Crunchy Peanut Butter
  • 250.00 ml fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 sheets frozen puff pastry, partially thawed, halved
  • Salted peanuts, very finely chopped, to sprinkle
  • Sesame seeds, to sprinkle
  • 65.63 gm lime juice
  • 31.50 gm soy sauce
  • 24.00 gm dark brown sugar
  • 20.80 gm chilli garlic sauce
  • 30.00 gm boiling water
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 220C (200C fan-forced), and get those baking trays ready with a lining of baking paper.
  • Drain excess liquid from grated onion and combine it in a large bowl with minced meat, peanut butter, breadcrumbs, fish sauce, garlic powder, and half of the egg. Season generously with salt and pepper, then mix everything together thoroughly using your hands.
  • Spread 1/6 of the filling along one long side of each pastry half. Roll up pastry to enclose the filling, then cut each roll into 3 pieces. Place them seam-side down on prepared trays. Repeat with the remaining filling and pastry. Brush with the remaining egg, sprinkle with peanuts and sesame seeds. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the pastry is golden and puffed.
  • Prepare the Satay sauce by gently mixing all ingredients in a small bowl using a fork. Serve the sausage rolls with the delicious dipping sauce.
