Elevate your weeknight dinner with a one-pan sausage bake featuring apples, cabbage, and flavorful dill creme fraiche drizzle.
Ingredients:
  • 32.00 gm brown sugar
  • 36.40 gm extra virgin olive oil
  • 500g gourmet beef sausages
  • 1⁄2 savoy cabbage, core intact, cut into 4 thick wedges
  • 1 pink lady apple, cored, cut into thin wedges
  • 160g (2⁄3 cup) crème fraîche
  • 20.00 ml chopped fresh dill
  • 17.70 gm wholegrain mustard
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 200C/180C fan forced. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of oil into a roasting pan and let it heat in the oven for 5 minutes.
  • Combine sausages, cabbage, and apple in a hot pan. Drizzle with remaining oil and sprinkle sugar over cabbage. Bake until sausages are golden and cabbage and apple are caramelized, about 30 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the creme fraiche, dill, and mustard. Cover and set aside for later use.
  • Top the freshly baked dish with a dollop of creamy dill creme fraiche.
