Ingredients:
  • 36.80 gm sunflower oil
  • 20 chipolata sausages
  • 3 onions, finely chopped
  • 600ml chicken style liquid stock
  • 700g tomato pasta sauce (we used roasted tomato & bacon)
  • 330ml Guinness beer
  • 32.00 gm brown sugar
  • 4 x 410g cans baked beans
  • 40.00 ml finely chopped parsley
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 150°C. Heat oil in a large ovenproof casserole over medium heat, then brown the sausages all over before setting them aside.
  • Sauté onions in a pan for about 10 minutes until softened. Pour in stock, sauce, beer, and sugar, bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes. Add sausages and beans, cover, and bake in the oven for 45 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, garnish with parsley, and serve with ember-baked potatoes.
