Upgrade classic sausage balls, using flour instead of baking mix for a quick, irresistible holiday snack.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound bulk spicy pork sausage, at room temperature
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages shredded extra-sharp Cheddar cheese, at room temperature
  • 1.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2.25 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon dry mustard
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect baking temperature.
  • In a large bowl, mix together sausage, Cheddar cheese, flour, baking powder, salt, onion powder, seasoned salt, and dry mustard.
  • Roll the mixture into walnut-sized balls and place them on rimmed nonstick baking sheets.
  • Bake in the oven until golden brown and fully cooked, for approximately 20 minutes.
