Cheese and sausage wonton cups, baked to perfection, topped with sour cream and green onions.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground Italian sausage
  • 0.5 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 0.5 cup shredded Colby cheese
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 24 (3.5 inch square) wonton wrappers
  • 0.75 (16 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease a mini muffin pan.
  • Brown ground Italian sausage in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat. Remove from heat and drain.
  • Mix Monterey Jack and Colby cheese into the hot sausage until melted. Incorporate salsa.
  • Carefully mold wonton wrappers into the mini muffin pan, allowing the edges to slightly protrude. Spoon a generous tablespoon of the sausage mixture into each wrapper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until wonton edges are golden brown.
  • Move the cooked filled wontons to a pretty serving platter. Top each with roughly 1 tablespoon of tangy sour cream and garnish with fresh green onions.
