Elevate your steak with a rich marinade of balsamic, soy sauce, garlic, honey, liquid smoke, and Worcestershire sauce for the perfect New York strip or rib-eye.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (1/2 pound) rib-eye steaks
  • 0.5 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
Instructions:
  • Prepare all ingredients.
  • Combine vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, honey, olive oil, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, salt, liquid smoke, and cayenne pepper in a medium bowl, mixing until the marinade is thoroughly blended.
  • Place the steaks in a shallow glass dish and generously coat them with the marinade, ensuring every part is covered for maximum flavor infusion.
  • Chill in the fridge and let flavors meld for 1 to 2 days.
  • Preheat the grill to high heat and lightly oil the grate. Grill the steaks until hot, slightly firm, and lightly pink in the center, about 7 minutes per side.
  • Check that the center reaches 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) with an instant-read thermometer for a perfectly medium doneness. Dispose of any remaining marinade.
