Whip up savory one-bite sausage appetizers with creamy cheese and veggies for a delicious gathering snack.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package Jimmy Dean® Premium Pork Regular Sausage
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces garden vegetable cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 0.25 cup finely chopped green onion
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages crescent roll sheets
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect baking temperature.
  • Place the sausage in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Saute and crumble with a spatula until fully cooked, for about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • In a bowl, blend vegetable and regular cream cheese with Cheddar cheese, bell pepper, green onion, and crumbled sausage. Mix thoroughly and keep aside.
  • Unroll 1 crescent dough sheet and shape it into a 9x12-inch rectangle. Cut into 24 squares by making 6 horizontal and 4 vertical rows. Repeat with the second package of dough.
  • Press 1 square into each cup of 2 nonstick 24-cup mini muffin tins, ensuring it covers the bottom and sides.
  • Place a generous heaping teaspoon of sausage filling into each cup, ensuring it reaches the top without compressing it.
  • Bake until dough turns a beautiful golden brown color in the preheated oven, about 11 to 13 minutes.
  • Allow the mixture to cool in the tins for 5 minutes before transferring to a platter.
