Delicious pie bars with golden graham cracker crust, whipped cream, and fresh sliced strawberries.
Ingredients:
  • 9 graham crackers, crushed
  • 0.33333334326744 cup butter, melted
  • 0.33333334326744 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons shortening, softened
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1.5 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 6 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry syrup, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Chill a large metal bowl and beaters from an electric mixer in the freezer.
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and give an 8-inch square pan a slick coating of cooking spray.
  • Combine crushed graham crackers, butter, white sugar, shortening, and cinnamon in a bowl until fully mixed. Firmly press the mixture into the pan to create the crust.
  • Place the crust in the preheated oven until firm, approximately 7 minutes. Allow it to cool for about 5 minutes, then refrigerate for 10 minutes. Transfer to the freezer and chill until cold to the touch.
  • Whip chilled heavy cream in a bowl using an electric mixer on high speed until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in confectioners' sugar one tablespoon at a time. Mix in vanilla extract and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
  • Place a layer of fresh strawberries over the chilled crust, followed by a layer of fluffy whipped cream. Repeat with another layer of strawberries and whipped cream. Finish by topping with the remaining strawberries and drizzle with luscious strawberry syrup.
  • Chill pie in the fridge until firm, approximately 1 hour. Slice into 9 pieces before serving.
