Ingredients:
  • 40g (1/4 cup) sesame seeds
  • 36.40 gm peanut oil
  • 1 red onion, halved, thinly sliced
  • 500g beef fillet, thinly sliced across the grain
  • 1 x 440g pkt thin hokkien-style 98% fat-free shelf fresh noodles (Wokka brand)
  • 100g bean sprouts
  • 100g snow peas, trimmed, thinly sliced lengthways
  • 80g snow pea sprouts
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) honey teriyaki stir-fry sauce (Continental Stir Fry Tonight brand)
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) vegetable liquid stock
  • 48.80 gm oyster sauce
  • Pinch of salt
Instructions:
  • Heat a wok over medium heat until it starts to smoke. Add sesame seeds and stir-fry for 30 seconds until they are toasted. Transfer to a bowl.
  • In a hot wok, sizzle half of the oil until it shimmers. Stir-fry onion and garlic for 2 minutes until onion is soft. Transfer to a bowl. Stir-fry one-third of the beef in the wok for 2 minutes until browned. Add to the bowl with the onion. Repeat two more times with the remaining beef, cooking in two batches.
  • Separate noodles by rinsing under warm water, then drain. Heat the remaining oil in a smoking hot wok over medium-high heat. Add noodles, beef, bean sprouts, snow peas, and snow pea sprouts. Stir-fry for 2 minutes until heated through.
  • Mix the honey teriyaki sauce, stock, and oyster sauce in a jug. Pour the mixture into the wok and stir-fry for 1 minute until heated through. Season with salt to taste, then transfer to serving bowls and garnish with toasted sesame seeds. Serve right away.
