Whip up a vibrant dinner in under 30 minutes with colorful frozen sweet peas.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups uncooked bow-tie (farfalle) pasta (8 oz)
  • 2 slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen sweet peas (from 12 oz bag)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 lb uncooked peeled deveined medium shrimp, thawed if frozen, tail shells removed
  • 3/4 cup refrigerated Alfredo sauce (from 10-oz container)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
Instructions:
  • Prepare and cook pasta according to package instructions before draining.
  • In a large nonstick skillet, crisp bacon over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add peas and cook for 2 minutes. Pour in water, cover, and cook for 3 to 5 minutes until peas are tender and water has evaporated. Finally, add shrimp and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until pink and firm, stirring occasionally.
  • Combine Alfredo sauce and pasta over gentle heat, stirring occasionally until hot. Garnish with chives.
