Easy and delicious garlic shrimp cooked in a lemony butter sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • salt to taste
  • 6 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon caper brine
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter, cut into 4 equal pieces, divided
  • 0.33333334326744 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley, divided
  • 1 teaspoon water, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Collect all the ingredients needed for the recipe.
  • In a hot skillet, add olive oil until it starts to smoke. Lay shrimp in a single layer and cook without stirring for 1 minute.
  • Season the shrimp with a pinch of salt, then cook and stir until they just start to turn pink, approximately 1 minute.
  • Sauté garlic and red pepper flakes for 1 minute.
  • Add lemon juice, caper brine, a pat of butter, and half of the parsley. Cook until the butter is melted, approximately 1 minute.
  • Lower the heat and blend in the remaining 3 pieces of butter, continually stirring. Cook and stir until the butter has melted, the sauce has thickened, and the shrimp have turned pink and opaque, this should take about 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Use a slotted spoon to lift the shrimp out and place them in a bowl. Keep simmering the butter sauce, adding water gradually, if it becomes too thick, for about 2 minutes.
  • Season the shrimp with a pinch of salt to your liking, then serve it with the flavorful pan sauce and sprinkle the remaining parsley on top. Time to indulge!
