Simple Popovers (lighter recipe)

Low-fat, fluffy popovers made with just four ingredients, ready in 10 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup fat-free (skim) milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 450°F and generously coat a 6-cup popover pan or six 6-ounce custard cups with cooking spray.
  • Add all ingredients to the blender in the order given. Blend on medium speed for approximately 15 seconds, pausing to scrape down the sides if needed, until the mixture is smooth. Fill cups halfway with the mixture.
  • Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Lower the oven temperature to 350°F and continue baking for an additional 20 minutes, or until the pastry is a deep golden brown. Remove from cups right away and serve hot.
