Quick and flavorful smoked salsa customizable to your spice preference.
Ingredients:
  • 4 large Roma tomatoes, halved lengthwise
  • 1 small red onion, quartered
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, halved and seeded
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 0.33333334326744 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 pinch salt to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the smoker to 225 degrees F (110 degrees C) and add wood chips following the manufacturer's instructions.
  • In a disposable foil pan, combine tomatoes, onion, jalapeno pepper, and garlic, then place it on the smoker rack. Smoke the vegetables for 90 minutes.
  • Place vegetables into the bowl of a food processor or blender. Add cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Pulse until vegetables are finely chopped, being careful not to over-process. Serve at room temperature or refrigerate to allow flavors to meld.
