Flavorful turkey chili with ground turkey, tomatoes, kidney beans, and spices. Perfect for leftovers!
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 (28 ounce) can canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (16 ounce) can canned kidney beans - drained, rinsed, and mashed
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • In a large pot over medium heat, heat oil. Add turkey, cook and stir until evenly browned for 6 to 8 minutes. Add onion and cook until tender.
  • Pour in water, then fold in ripe tomatoes, hearty kidney beans, and pungent garlic. Incorporate bold chili powder, earthy paprika, fragrant oregano, spicy cayenne pepper, aromatic cumin, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Bring the mixture to a lively boil, then lower the heat, cover the pot, and let it gently simmer for 30 minutes.
