Savory ham, cabbage, and potatoes cooked with onions and paprika for an easy and delicious one-pan meal.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 small head cabbage, coarsely chopped
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 3 large potatoes, scrubbed and sliced
  • 1 dash seasoning salt
  • 1 dash paprika, or to taste
  • 2 cups cubed cooked ham
Instructions:
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté onion until soft and translucent, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Mix in the cabbage until well combined. Pour in the water, cover the pot, and let it gently simmer over low heat for ten minutes.
  • Stir in the potatoes and let simmer covered for another 10 minutes, adding more water as necessary.
  • Season cabbage and potatoes with a sprinkle of seasoning salt and paprika, then simmer covered until cabbage is tender and potatoes are fork-tender. Add ham and simmer until heated through.
