Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, cream together sugars, butter, oil, vanilla, and egg using an electric mixer on low speed until well combined. Gradually add flour, baking soda, and salt until fully incorporated. Gently fold in chocolate chips.
  • Drop rounded measuring tablespoonfuls of dough onto a greased cookie sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake until lightly golden brown on the edges (centers will be soft), for 7 to 9 minutes. Allow to cool for 1 minute, then transfer from the baking sheet to a cooling rack.
