Healthier homemade chicken nuggets ready in just 30 minutes, with significantly less fat and sodium than fast food or frozen options.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup crushed toasted whole wheat flake cereal
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 450°F. Mix crushed cereal, paprika, garlic powder, oregano, and optional cayenne pepper in a resealable plastic bag. Whisk the egg white in a small bowl with a fork.
  • Coat chicken pieces in egg white, letting the excess drip off. Add chicken pieces to cereal mixture in a bag a few at a time and shake to coat evenly.
  • Arrange the chicken pieces evenly on a baking pan without greasing it. Bake for 7 to 9 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 170°F and is fully cooked through.
