Slow cooker apple bread pudding combines the best of bread pudding and apple pie into a decadent and custardy dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 4 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 3 cups 1-inch bread cubes
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 (12 fluid ounce) cans evaporated skim milk
  • 0.75 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions:
  • Mix together the apples and bread in the slow cooker.
  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs. Mix in milk, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour this flavorful mixture over the apples and bread.
  • Cook on High for 3 to 4 hours until a smooth custard is achieved.
