Slow Cooker Beer Pulled Pork

Make mouthwatering Sweet Baby Ray's pulled pork in your slow cooker for the ultimate pulled pork sandwiches.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (5 pound) pork butt roast
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can beer (such as Shiner® Bock)
  • 1 (12 ounce) bottle barbecue sauce (such as Sweet Baby Ray's®)
Instructions:
  • Add pork to the slow cooker and generously season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Pour beer into the slow cooker, cover, and cook on High for 1 hour. Then, switch to Low heat and continue cooking until the pork is tender and easily pulled apart with a fork, approximately 8 to 10 hours.
  • Take the pork out of the slow cooker, shred it using two forks, discard the juices, then put the shredded pork back into the slow cooker. Add barbecue sauce, mix well, cover, and cook on Medium for an hour.
