Ingredients:
  • 2 cups chopped apples
  • 0.5 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup steel-cut oats
  • 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or more to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups water
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Prepare the slow cooker by lining it with a disposable liner. Add apples, cranberries, oats, brown sugar, butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour in the milk and water, then stir well to combine. Cover the slow cooker.
  • Slow cook for 6 to 8 hours, then top the oatmeal with chopped walnuts for a delicious finishing touch.
